What this notice covers

Cookies and browser storage can remember settings or support security. Similar rules can apply to local storage, tags, pixels and other access to information on a device. This notice covers the free TradAdvise service. It does not describe the cookies of an external site you choose to visit.

The free service does not use advertising trackers or affiliate tracking. With your consent, it uses Google Analytics 4 for audience measurement, as described below. Any optional technology that legally requires consent remains inactive until valid consent is given. Refusing optional storage does not prevent access to ordinary public information.

Application storage

The language preference cookie `tradadvise_language` remembers a language you select. It lasts up to 12 months unless you clear it sooner. It is a preference requested when you change the language and is not an advertising identifier.

The `tradadvise_session` cookie is used only by authorised team members who sign in to the workspace. It supports authentication and security and expires after eight hours or earlier following sign-out or revocation. It is not a public visitor account or a marketing cookie.

If the optional recently viewed feature is enabled, `tradadvise-recent` stores up to eight broker references in that browser. The application does not give this entry a fixed expiry; it remains until cleared or removed by the browser. It is not sent to our application server by that feature. The feature must use consent where required; its optional status must not be disguised as strictly necessary storage.

If a consent interface is introduced for optional features, a choice record may be stored so the site can remember acceptance or refusal. Its key, duration and purposes will be listed in this notice when used. The presence of unused analytics code does not authorise its activation.

The `tradadvise-storage` entry records your choices in Cookie settings: whether to remember recently viewed brokers and, where audience analytics is offered, whether to allow it. It stores each choice with the date and the notice version. It stays in this browser until you change your choices in Cookie settings or clear browser storage; where audience analytics is offered, the site asks again after six months. Recently viewed history is stored only after you allow it, and refusing removes any stored list.

Audience analytics (Google Analytics)

If you allow audience analytics in Cookie settings, the site loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. Before you allow it, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics cookie is set.

Google Analytics sets the first-party cookies `_ga` and `_ga_` followed by the property identifier. They distinguish browsers and sessions so that visits can be counted, and they last up to two years unless you clear them sooner or withdraw consent. Google signals and ads personalisation are turned off, and TradAdvise does not use analytics data for advertising.

You can withdraw at any time in Cookie settings. The site then stops loading Google Analytics and deletes the `_ga` cookies it can reach. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. The Privacy Notice explains the information collected, the provider, international transfers and retention.

Hosting and security technologies

Security or delivery providers may require additional technologies for a specific deployment. We assess their actual purpose, duration, provider and access before enabling them. Only technologies that meet an applicable exemption can be used without prior consent. Any deployed provider-specific entries and optional choices must be disclosed in this notice before use.

Managing preferences

You can use browser settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and local storage. Clearing language storage resets the preference. Blocking the team session cookie prevents workspace sign-in. Where recently viewed history is offered, the Clear control removes that stored list. Clearing a list does not disable future storage by itself; the feature's consent or enable setting must also be respected.

Where optional consent controls are offered, you can refuse or withdraw through the same accessible settings used to grant consent. If a control is unavailable, contact info@tradadvise.com. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. We will update this notice before introducing optional analytics or advertising technology.
